On the 1st of July of 2019 we started paying less money on our phone bills, as the Regional Roaming Agreement entered into force reducing roaming costs across the region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia), as much as 99% in some cases. Data traffic increased by more than 60%, while outgoing roaming calls by more than 140%. Therefore, we can now talk text and surf more and in July 2021 the Western Balkans six countries are heading to zero roaming fees. The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) has appointed Vatra to compile a presentation of the 2020 Balkan Barometer in order to take a look at the data of this success story. Our team created a series of animated and static infographics as part of this cross-regional information campaign. We developed materials for digital and print media so the messages could be accessible for everyone.
