Sidnej is one of the local Albanian companies selected by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for support in achieving European standards for their products in terms of quality and image. Sidnej was established in the city of Berat, southern Albania, in 1993. With a wide range of products, Sidnej company is one of the fastest-growing businesses in the Berat area, on the road to becoming one of the main processors of fruit and vegetables in the whole Albanian market.
Vatra was appointed to redesign the identity, to develop product branding and an advertising strategy. The client requested the redesign of the existing brand and name. The brand had to reflect tradition and quality.
Vatra redesigned the existing brand, developing it into a modern style, expressive and simply illustrated. The cycle-oriented shapes of the identity suggest rotation, a mixture of combined elements as happens during preservation. The chosen colors were based on the products’ origin reflecting a mixture of freshness and nature. Vatra developed the whole range of corporate products, product branding, and website design. Sidnej’s customers were introduced to the new identity initially through attractive outdoor advertisements such as city-lights and posters and, of course, through the eye-catching new labels on the market shelves.
