A smart Brand Identity for Sophie Caffè

Sophie Caffe & Snacks is an Albanian, friendly and socially conscious coffee shop chain in Albania. Vatra was entrusted to create a very modern and appealing brand identity starting from naming to designing corporate products. The aim was to create a relaxed and inviting image which conveys the idea of a place where everyone can feel at home and comfortable. It had to be the kind of place their potential customers would embrace; a welcoming place where everything tastes great and the staff is friendly. We wanted to create a powerful brand with a memorable name that makes an immediate impact.

The name that Vatra proposed for the brand was Sophie, a feminine name that represents the personification of wisdom. The symbol of the identity is also linked to the meaning of the name with the owl as a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, status, intelligence and wealth in many antique cultures. The brand is designed using capital letters in a retro style typeface to create a vintage identity asked by the owners in order to go along with the architectural style of the concept. We came up with a neoclassical brand identity that conveys the same good and positive feelings as when we spend time with family and friends, making Sophie Caffe & Snacks the place for making wonderfully good memories.
